This time last year the world was beginning to get excited about the upcoming FIFA Men’s World Cup which was hosted in Russia.

As we all now know, France picked up their second World Cup and England made it all the way to the semi-finals losing to Croatia in extra time.

This year, we can all get excited again as Phil Neville looks to lead the England Women’s team to glory at the World Cup in France and bring football home.

In the 4th annual SheBelieves Cup, England triumphed and won the competition for the first time. A great start to the preparation for the World Cup in France this summer.

To whet our appetites before the main event, new playing kits are often released to help us get in the mood for the upcoming tournament. Who can forget the Nigeria kit from last years men’s World Cup which had 3 million pre-orders!

What might be surprising is that the England Lionesses are being supplied with their first solo playing kit!

Normally the England Women’s side has worn the same design produced for the Men’s team. However, Nike launched this week the playing kit for The Lionesses to wear in France, on their pursuit to glory.

To go along with the new kit design, a full range of team wear is available including training apparel and anthem jackets.

Will the new line of England team clothing help propel The Lionesses to glory? Fingers crossed and roll on another summer of World Cup football.
